BIG GAME HUNTING

Owl’s Nest Lodge offers big game hunting for Woodland Caribou, Eastern Canada Moose and Black Bear in the Fall (September, October and November). As well we offer Spring Black Bear hunting (May, June and July).

 

BOOKINGS 

Our packages include license fees and all applicable taxes. Group bookings are eligible for discounts.

 

HUNT DURATION

Our hunts are six day hunts (Monday through Saturday). Hunting on Sunday is not permitted in Newfoundland. We utilize Sunday as our travel day whereby hunters arrive and depart on Sundays, thus providing for a full six day hunt. We can also accommodate other schedules.

 

EXTENDED HUNTS 

Many of our hunters, especially those doing two or three way combination hunts, might want a longer hunt and we can accommodate extended hunts over and above a week.

 

PARTY LICENSES/HUNTS 

Owl’s Nest Lodge, as well, can offer party licenses/hunts. This is a hunt where two hunters in a party hunt one animal only, but either hunter can take the animal.

 

TROPHY HUNTS 

Many trophy hunters are not aware that in Newfoundland a hunter can hunt more than one animal of the same species during their stay. A hunter may book as many hunts of any species as he/she wishes.
